A place for moms to connect
So I have always been one to kind of jump around from one stylist/salon to another, but I'd like to find a place/person I really like. Do you all have any suggestions? I live in northwest Gainesville. :-)
We have used Kathy Thomas at Shear Image & Nails Too for years -- she's fantastic! They're located on NW 34th Street across from the YMCA (5240 NW 34th Street).
I've followed Kristen Kimball for many years. She's now at Paradise for Hair in Thornebrook Village. http://paradiseforhair.com/contacts/
I found my stylist by a Living social deal - and have been in love ever since. She always works around my schedule, great personality and I get the exact cut I am looking for. Which for someone with curly hair is AMAZING!!!! Jamie Taylor at Thornbrook Hair Design. Her prices are great, and so is the service.
Another option that I use if it's a 911 emergency is a friend from high school Julie at Styles-n-Files... its on 13th street near Sandy's Consignment, very high class and low price. I love Mrs. Julie and her style.
My stylist is Glenda at Creations in Thornebrook. She's been a premier stylist in Gainesville for years so I know she isn't going anywhere! I have never been so in love with my hair and I constantly get compliments on it. That's when you know you're going to the right person. I love that Glenda works on Saturdays and will do evenings, etc.. Being a stay at home Mom and trying to find time to get my hair makes me really appreciates her flexibility.
My family has used the same stylist for YEARS! My mom found her working at a place in the mall when I was 13....I'm 33 now and my mom, me and my sister and our daughters still go to her. Her name is Dana Philips and her salon is called Dana Lynn's, located at 23 NW 33rd Court in Gainesville. She WONDERFUL and an expert colorist! Her phone number is 352-281-5482 which is her cell and you can call or text her to make an appointment.
