What is your opinion on toy guns?
I've never seen the show "Dance Moms" on Lifetime, but apparently there was a recent controversy about a group of young girls dancing with gold gun props. (STORY)
Do you feel it is appropriate for these little girls to dance with guns? Is it OK for kids to play with toy guns in general?

We play with plastic water pistols and my oldest has a nerf gun. But nothing that remotely resembles a real firearm. I think the problem is when kids don't know the difference between and toy and a weapon that causes serious harm.
Kids are always going to play pretend, and especially boys...boys almost always makes things out to be a weapons. (i.e. pretending sticks are swords).
