Superhero Mom Sees Baby Falling & Smashes Through Window to Catch Him

Have you all seen this story? A 14-month-old was jumping on his bed and fell out of a second-story window. The mom, who was just getting out of the shower, saw the child falling and smashed through the window to catch him by the foot. They both landed on a small overhang. Grandma, who was outside on the porch, looked up and caught the child as mom continued falling into the bushes.

Here is the entire story: http://thestir.cafemom.com/toddler/152025/super_hero_mom_sees_baby

Everyone involved is miraculously going to be OK. But the statistics in the article are startling! Each year, 5,000 children are injured are killed from accidents involving windows. So sad!

Why was a 14 month old left alone to bounce on a bed by a partially open window?  It is great the mother jumped out the window and saved him but she should have never left him alone to begin with.  It is just plain stupid to leave a 14 month old to tend to themselves on a bed by a open window while you go shower. This is just common sense.  She is far from a superhero mom. This mother needs some serious training if she seriously thought that it was ok to leave him alone while taking a shower.

I hear ya. The way this mother reacted to catch her child was extraordinary! BUT...having open windows on a second story with children in the house!? That's a recipe for disaster!
