A place for moms to connect
Please post the daycare you use and why you are happy with it.
You'll probably find that most people are happy at their current center, because parents rarely stay very long at a center they don't like. (And if they do, they need to reconsider). Parent satisfaction with their center is a complicated equation. For example, they may love their child's current teacher, and stay even if other aspects of the center are wanting. They may really value convenience, or be especially concerned about price. They may have special dietary or lifestyle preferences that only a few schools are willing to accommodate.
Searching for a center can be a daunting task. My recommendation is to take a lot of of tours, and trust your maternal instincts. When you hit upon the place that's right for you, you'll know it immediately. Pre-screen centers based upon your specific needs. For example, if you need part-time care for a one year old, you can rule out with a phone call centers that don't offer part-time, or don't start children until they're potty trained. You can also rule out centers that aren't close to either home or work.
If you click on the Forum tab at the top and type in "Day care centers" in the search field, you'll see many threads on this topic where parents have posted their recommendations.
