A place for moms to connect
restaurant for a nice lunch?
My daughter is graduating from UF on Friday. We will go out to dinner to celebrate the night before, but I need to find a place to take the family to lunch on Friday. Any suggestions? I have never been to Panama Joe's cafe, but I thought it might work. Can anyone give me info on it? Thanks.

We went to Harry's for lunch after I had my graduation from UF (which was YEARS ago! LOL). It's downtown. I know there are a few other places downtown that you could go to for lunch like Emilianos Cafe.
In regards to Panama Joe's....make sure you enter around the corner for Joe's Place. Panama Joe's is its bar/pool hall side. Joe's Place is the actually restaurant. Just wanted to let you know since you had said that you had never been there. I like Joe's Place. Good sandwiches and salad bar. We usually go there for lunch every once in awhile.
Another place that is good for a nice lunch is The Red Onion Neighborhood Grill. It's over off of 39th. That's another regular place we go to for lunch when we have company in town.

Panama Joe's is super yummy! I LOVE their salad bar. If you are looking for other locations The Queen's Arm/Haile Bistro in Haile is very good and are great with bigger parties. If you are looking for downtown area Harry's is a great suggestion. Archer road area I don't really have any suggestions on a good place. Hope you get some great ideas and congrats to her!

Ballyhoo's is great for lunch and has lots of room for any size parties. I recommend the fried grouper sandwich or the firecracker shrimp appetizer - yum. They have a lot of variety too and of course you can check out the menu online. Service is always very good.

For a graduation dinner I recommend Francesca's... They are an amazing italian restaurant locally owned and operated by a true italian family!! They are AMAZING!!! makes olive garden and any other italian place seem fast food!! EVERYTHING is made FRESH and on the spot, including the pasta!!!!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We went to Ballyhoos for dinner and Blue Highway Pizza for lunch. They were both great!

The pizza at Blue Highway was fantastic - they have some unique topping combinations. The salads were really great too. We had excellent service as well.
