A place for moms to connect
New Mom and new to Gainesville
My husband and I just moved to Gainesville from Berkeley, CA and I am dying to meet some new Mom friends. We are both originally from Florida and are UF grads but have lived on the west coast for several years now (I managed to forget all about the Florida heat, yikes). We have a 9 month old son,Cooper, who is amazing! I'm not currently working and Cooper and I's schedule is wide open. We live in Haile and I'm a member at Gainesville health and fitness. So if anyone wants to meet up at a park, at the gym, go for coffee, etc. or knows of Mom meetups let me know!

I've put together a little FB group of moms in Gainesville if you'd like me to add you. Currently we meet at Westside Park (on 34th) every Friday at 10 for a little social time. We'd love to meet you there tomorrow if you're free.
Also, there is a group called MomMe on Meetup.com. I just joined them and they seem REALLY active - like events most days of the week if you're interested.

Sounds like you and I are in the exact same boat. My husband and I recently moved to Gainesville (we were both here for undergrad at UF as well). My son is 19 months old, and we live in Haile also! I try to make it to Gainesville Health & Fitness in Tioga a few times a week. Although, lately it turns into coffee and the playground (my son just started becoming very attached and is not thrilled with staying in the kids club at the gym). We would love to meet up sometime if you're interested :)

I'd give you my cell number, but it tragically was run over by a car today after I innocently left it on the top of my car at the babies r us parking lot. Can I still use pregnancy brain as an excuse? ;-)
