Gainesville Moms

A place for moms to connect

This is such a tragic story, but in the end, two children will be able to live life. A mother was taking a walk with her boyfriend and 3-year-old when she felt a pain in her head and fell to the ground. She was declared brain dead, but was able to still give birth via c-section - after spending six weeks on life support - to two premature little babies. They were only 25 weeks. And I have to agree with the writer when she says, "I think Christine probably got her final wish. I imagine that in those brief seconds when the pain struck her, her first thought was please let my babies be okay."

This is such a sad story. I hope the babies end up ok with a good quality of life being born at 25 weeks.
