A place for moms to connect

My daughter is 3 years old, and is very interested in starting school. She is very bright, but I don't have a clue how she compares to other children other than family. How old are children in Pre K and if she is too young are there any other preschool (not daycare) options that are no to low cost?

In FL, a child has to be 4 years old by Sept. 1 in order to qualify for VPK (voluntary pre-K) which the state pays for all or part of. We just moved here but there seems to be many preschools, although not sure what they cost. Our son is at Millhopper Montessori (he attended a Montessori at our previous city) and we are happy so far.
There are plenty of preschools for 3 year olds. Many schools offer programs for 3 year olds that are only 2 or 3 mornings a week, while others only offer 5 day/ full day programs. There are no free schools for 3 year olds, but the ones that are only 2 mornings a week (3-4 hours a day) are usually under $200/ month.

I've compiled all the preschool information on my website. Here's the link to the preschool page: www.fun4gatorkids.com/schools/8

I love your site! This is a lot of helpful info. I plan on allowing my 2yr old to start going to school for half days this yr. I really didn't have alot of info. This is such a huge help! Thanks so much! :)
My pleasure!!
