A place for moms to connect

A blogger shared 25 things she and her friends find most annoying about children. Do you agree with some of the things on this list?

I admit that I can't stand whining and procrastination! When my girls whine, I tell them I can't understand them, and that when they are ready to talk like big girls, then we can talk. With my 6-year-old, we have started using a timer to help with her procrastination. For example, our water bills were going through the roof, so now she has a 10-minute timer for shower time. We have also used the time to help her clean her room. It has actually worked really well! :-)

the fighting sleep thing and the total fascination of talking about pooping and peeing and farting! I know that he's a boy but farting is not that funny! But what makes it worse is his daddy is right there with him! And fighting sleep, he has to be exhausted to the point of not being able to lift his head off the pillow or he will not go to sleep at bedtime! Love him to pieces, though!

Oh yes, fighting sleep....we pushed "bedtime" back three hours just to compensate with our lil man getting out of bed every ten minutes. Ugh! Boogers, why do they insist on eating boogers!?

My 2-year-old also makes poop jokes! The only thing that finally worked for us was telling her that she could only talk about poop in the bathroom, and that if she wanted to keep saying poop, then she would have to go to the bathroom. She quickly realized it wasn't very fun to hang out in the bathroom.
