TIME IS RUNNING OUT--REGISTER NOW FOR Youth Co-ed Basketball = Sportsmanship = Character!

Come play youth co-ed basketball with the City of Gainesville. Learn basketball skills and life skills such as trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship — through sports!

• ALL PLAY:  Mandatory play time ensures all children get a chance to play.
• FUN:  Learn basketball skills though sportsmanship and character.
• WE VALUE YOU:  No try-outs! No players will be cut from any roster!

PAYS (Parents Association for Youth Sports) “Certification for Parents” is required and can be completed online. Register as a new user, our chapter is Gainesville Parks and Recreation and the access code is 1174. A space is provided for spouses name, please place child's name in this space. Proof required at time of registration.

Practices start in December. The season starts January 7, 2012 and runs through March 17, 2012.

Youth Co-ed Basketball practices are held at the Martin Luther King Center located at 1028 NE 14th Street. Games are played in Alachua County.

• AGE GROUPS: Birth Certificate is required to register. 5/6 year-olds, 7/8 year-olds, 9/10 year-olds, 11/12 year-olds, and 13/14 year-olds, as of September 1, 2011.
• COST:  5 and 6 year-olds, City: $61.75; $15.00 off with proof of free or reduced lunch.
• Non-City: $91.50, 7 thru 14 year-olds, City: $78.25; Non-City: $117.75 Proof of residency (GRU bill or Voter ID Card) is required for city residents.
