Rowell a walk-on to watch

Florida coach Jim McElwain said to keep an eye on true freshman walk-on offensive lineman Tanner Rowell, the son of former UF standout offensive tackle Tony Rowell.

“Rowell is a guy who's going to make some noise for us as an o-lineman here down the road,” McElwain said. “He's a good player. He's put on some weight. He's going to do some things for us.

“This guy didn't fall far from the tree. He's got first-step quickness. He's undersized, and yet, he can overcome some of that with the way he plays.”
