Tebow: Will he stay or go?
Last Modified: Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 10:42 p.m.
It begins.
With the season winding down, it is inevitable that the question is going to be fired away at Florida quarterback Tim Tebow on a regular basis down the stretch.
Will he stay or will he go?
For the first time, the Heisman Trophy winner was asked after Tuesday’s practice about the possibility of leaving early for the NFL.
Have you considered that this might be your last game here, Tebow was asked of Saturday’s home finale against The Citadel.
Tebow chuckled, then said, “I haven’t, as you can tell.”
When pressed, Tebow said he isn’t even considering leaving early at this stage.
“No,” he said. “I don’t even think about it like that. The more I’m here, the longer I want to stay here. I love being a Gator.
“It’s not even (something I’m thinking about).”

RE: Link
He needs to go! I'm tired of Tbow getting all the accolades while great players like Percy Harvin gets looked over! He is just another Danny Wuerful, great in college, but crap in the big league. Tebow won't even be drafted before at least three players on that team. The guy sucks as a quarterback! He hardly passes for 200 yds a game! He is surrounded by the best athletes in the country and that's why he shines. He doesn't even shine to people with real football knowledge, just to you fanatical Tbow and Urban Meyer-loving losers. Oh,and by the way, nobody cares about Nicky Meyer and what school she is going to. She is only getting the treatment because she is Urb's daughter. Talk about real athletes, not just the celebs in this small hick town.

Ok n-ingram...what are you talking about...Tebow is the best QB that I have ever seen play at Florida, and I think he will be fine in the big league...Grossman is doing ok and Tebow is 3x the quarterback he ever was. And on your dumb point of not throwing for more than 200 yards/game...when a team is up by 30 points before half time, that team is going to run the ball to run down the clock, there is no need for him to keep passing, and on top of that they have a very strong running game this year, which makes the point of passing even smaller...did you even see the last 2 games where he threw a minimum of 45 yard passes, and both were right to his receiver???? In fact, I think it was your precious Percy that dropped the pass right to him when they played Georgia. So what kind of "real football knowledge" do you think you have to justify this opinion?

Come on Robbie, do your home work. Tebow was asked over a week ago on college football live and he answered " I don't know, It depends. I will sit down after the season and talk to coach Meyer, and coach Mullen and discuss my options and see what they think."
N-Ingram lighten up, Obama just got elected enjoy it. Tebow and Harvin are both special. I agree that Meyer could use Harvin better, like as a WR instead of a HB but with Urban it is what it is. Its the results that matter.

Teebow definately needs to stay another year in college. That is a no brainer. He has so much to work on before he can compete at the next level, however a guy with that much faith, determination, and ability is a must have in the NFL. He could be a Steve Young type once he learns how to be a drop back passer. Also he will still be hard to bring down at the next level. He will be pound for pound the strongest man to ever play quarterback in the NFL. I guarantee you that this guy wins a Super Bowl before it is all said and done. Success seams to follow those who do things the right way. Phillipians 4:13. Now forget all this NFL talk and lets go win a National Championship. Go Gators.

Now dont get me wrong...the Gators do have a lot of GREAT players this year...and Harvin is one of the best of them...but if you remember last year when they didn't have the weapons they have this year, Tebow took the team a long way on still.

I will have to agree with truluv2003 100%...Tebow will not fail in the NFL because he wont let himself fail...and he wont be like most of the other QB's that care about nothing but the money..he plays with heart and loves the game...he will succeed there too.

daddygreek....your forget that the bears would have never made it to the Superbowl had grossman not led them there...not bad for a QB rookie that hadn't been out of college for very long.

ingram,.. Appearently Florida fans arent the only ones that think he's a good QB. Perhaps you werent aware of it but the guy won the Heisman last year and is in the running again this year. Those are two very high achievements, youngest player to recieve the Heisman and a back 2 back canidate. I'm pretty sure that says something about the guy. Let alone he's one of the most respectable players in the history of college ball. Dont get me wrong, Percy is good, but he's injury prown, is known for not protecting the ball and isnt the best at recieving. As far as the NFL goes, it's a whole different world of football and you certainly arent the anaylist or even have the knowledge enough about the game to predict his outcome. The draft is a gamble for every team. I'm pretty sure theres a few that will be willing to bet on Tebow.db
